Council of the ASSA

The Society is governed by a Council consisting of a President, three Vice-Presidents, a Secretary, a Treasurer, a Representative of each of the Centres, four other members of Council, a member of the Editorial Board and a Business Manager.
Dr J K E Halm, third President of the ASSA, suggested "that an amateur and a professional should as far as possible be elected alternately" to the position of President of the Society (Long 1930:173)
