In resurrecting the Observatory foriegn investment play an important role. Equally important is a group of local amateur astronomers who formed an organisation called the “Friends of Boyden.” Some of them is seen here on the steps of the auditorium that they initialised, raised the money for, and basically did most of the hard work.
