Description:
Belonged  to a medical doctor who was also a brilliant observer, W H Steavenson.  When he became older and had difficulty in observing, he presented  the telescope to the Cape Observatory (during the directorship  of Dr Stoy 1950-1968). It was mainly used for infrared photometry.
