The Society features a range of special-interest groups, each focusing on coordinating specific activities. A Director is appointed to lead each Section.

Sections wax and wane according to the interest of current members of the Society. If you have a specific astronomical interest and are keen to lead and develop it, we’re open to establishing new sections. Your enthusiasm and leadership could be the driving force behind a new chapter in our Society’s exploration of the Universe. ASSA is actively seeking volunteers to lead the following Sections:
